Premium Billing Module
The Premium Billing module of HEALTHsuite's claims processing software enables health plans to streamline the process of billing and payment for employer groups and individuals. The module supports commercial lines of business, as well as Medicare, Medicaid, and COBRA. Premium Billing automatically determines the correct premium amounts, based on the customer contract type, effective date, group affiliation, line of business (plan), and benefit package (product), and supports user defined rate tier structures.
This module permits bills to be produced at any interval and provides the flexibility to produce bills based on plan, product, and group combinations. HEALTHsuite handles retroactive adjustments for new subscribers and terminations automatically. It supports “lock box” for electronic payments, permits payment entry online against accounts, and allows online access to customer account activity and history. Billing can be consolidated or segregated by group or sub-group.
The Federal Government has announced a new program that will subsidize 65% of COBRA premiums for eligible individuals. HEALTHsuite's premium billing capability accommodates the division of financial responsibility across unlimited entities including Government, employers, associations, the insured and more.
